04:09 PM ET 03.20 | The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed defenseman Mike Komisarek on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the American Hockey League. Komisarek has played in only four games this season, often times acting as a healthy scratch. In order to be placed on waivers, Komisarek was required to waive his no-movement clause. The intention is to allow Komisarek to get some playing time as he has obviously not been getting that with the Maple Leafs. He is currently in the fourth year of a five-year, $22.5 million contract that carries an annual average value of $4.5 million against the salary cap.
