06:08 PM ET 03.20 | Jamaal Tinsley has seen his fair share of ups and downs in the NBA. Most of the downs haven't been much to do with basketball. As an Indiana Pacers, the now-35-year-old Utah Jazz point guard was part of the 2004 Malice in the Palace brawl, was involved in a bar brawl and was present when then-teammate Stephen Jackson had a gun-related incident. Now, Tinsley tells the Salt Lake Tribune that he's happy just to be playing a part for the Jazz. He is averaging just more than three points and four assists per game, but he's also started a good chunk of the season as Utah saw starting point guard Mo Williams sit out with an injury. "It just shows where the guy has really grown," coach Tyrone Corbin said. "[He] understands at this stage of his life he's not the 20-some-year-old guy anymore. He had to change, and it's great to see."
