Chris Johnson unhappy with Shonn Greene signing

12:11 PM ET 03.21 | The Tennessee Titans have been one of the more active teams in free agency during the 2013 season and have done a good job, according to Chris Johnson, although he wasn't a big fan of the team's decision to sign former New York Jets running back Shonn Greene to a three-year, $10 million deal. Johnson told Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean on Wednesday that the size of Greene's contract doesn't really match the small role he should have in a backfield that Johnson has dominated for the past five seasons. "I have never been a big fan of the two-back system, so I don't know how we plan on using him," Johnson said casually. "I'm not afraid of competition, but I was thinking we'd maybe get a draft pick for the other back. And you don't give a guy that kind of money to be just a goal-line guy and in tough-yardage situations. So we'll see what happens."

Maybe if Chris Johnson played like an All-Star ALL GAME EVERY GAME the Titans wouldn't need to sign Shonn Greene

Chris Johnson has been more hype than substance for two years now. Happy to see the Titans lighting a fire under his ass.

Yeah, CJ, and the fans haven't been happy with how you clearly started phoning it in after you signed your big contract.

Too bad he was pure garbage for half the season.
He had about 4 very good games, 3 decent games, and 9 HORRIBLE games. Review the game-log for yourself.

Or in other words, Chris Johnson regularly takes weeks off. He's still got it, it's just a question of whether or not he feels like delivering it. He hasn't given a 100% effort for a full season ever since he got paid.

He's just afraid that he won't get all of the incentive money (for actual production) and media attention. Sounds like a selfish jerk and awful team mate.

He hasnt lost his mojo. Did u forget the 94yd td run. This guy just needs an offensive line that makes holes. When there are holes, this guy is the biggest home run hitter in the league.

Chris Johnson hasn't been happy since he robbed the Titans. He's not happy with the offensive line. He's not happy with the team bringing in a change of pace back. Boo-freakin-hoo! Get over yourself, dude. If you played consistently with some heart, your team could depend on you. But you don't, so they can't. You should worry more about EARNING that fat contract and leave the coaching to your coaches.
