Osi Umenyiora visits Falcons, takes physical

01:18 PM ET 03.21 | Defensive end Osi Umenyiora visited with the Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday, according to Lindsay Rhodes on Twitter. Umenyiora is taking a physical, which could mean that the Falcons are interested in signing him if things go well. Of course, that's just speculation at this point. It's significant though, as this appears to be Umenyiora's first actual visit of the free agency period, which began on March 12. To this point, there's been little information on what's happening with Umenyiora, though it was recently reported that both the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins could be interested. Umenyiora still has plenty of competition on the market. He's been one of the top pass-rushers of the past decade, but has slowed down over the past two seasons and isn't getting any younger. His 52 sacks between 2005 and 2010 are impressive, but he started just four games in 2012.
