Joffrey Lupul faces discipline hearing

04:13 PM ET 03.21 | Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul faces a discipline hearing with the NHL???s Department of Player Safety on Thursday afternoon. The hearing is directly related to Lupul???s hit on Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman on Wednesday night. The hearing is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m., ET. The hit occurred in the opening minute of the third period while Hedman was carrying the puck through the neutral zone. Despite being visibly dazed, Hedman finished the game with eight shifts in the third. Lupul was penalized two-minutes for an illegal check to the head. Wednesday night's game marked Lupul's second since returning from a broken forearm. Lupul has recorded four points (three goals, one assist) over that two-game span.
