05:04 PM ET 03.21 | Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul has been suspended two games by the NHL???s Department of Player Safety for his hit on Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman on Wednesday night. In the video, Rob Blake explained that Lupul???s hit was determined to be reckless and targeted Hedman???s head, which is something the Department of Player Safety has had zero tolerance for in the past. The play occurred during the third period when Hedman was carrying the puck through the neutral zone. Hedman was able to finish the game and Lupul was given a two-minute minor for an illegal check to the head.

I dunno, I watched the hit and I thought it was barely worth 2 minutes. I think Lupul is getting the Matt Cooke treatment here.

More a case of Hedman getting an oscar for the performance than anything....but you had to know this was gonna cost him a couple games

First thing I thought was Hedman set a pick and paid the price
