05:39 PM ET 03.21 | Knicks veteran big man Kurt Thomas feels his chances of returning in time for the playoffs are "50-50" after he reaggravated his stress fracture in his right foot. The Knicks originally listed his timetable as 2-4 weeks, but after Thomas' comments, that estimate looks a bit on the optimistic side. Thomas originally suffered the stress fracture during the 2006-07 season while playing for the Suns, and after his MRI earlier this week, he discovered it never completely healed. The 40-year-old did express a strong desire to return this season, though, and the beat-up Knicks are surely hoping that's actually a possibility.

First.It's good that the old banged-up big men of the Knicks can come back - so that they can put their old bodies out there to take the banging one last time - or getting close to the last time - to help the Knicks with their wishful thinking of contending for the title.
