Marion expected to return Friday

05:49 PM ET 03.21 | Shawn Marion confirmed he'll return Friday from his calf strain when the Mavericks take on the Celtics. Marion has missed eight games with the injury and Dallas has gone 5-3 with Jae Crowder starting in his place. The Mavericks still have an outside chance at the playoffs as they rest 3.5 games behind the Lakers for the final spot in the West so Marion's return will be a welcome one. Marion was averaging 14 points a game in his 14 games before the injury.
