Kidd ready to walk away?

08:05 AM ET 03.22 | Thankfully, Kurt Thomas provides some cover for Jason Kidd, who turns the big 4-oh this weekend, among the oldest guys on the Knicks roster. "Kurt's still the oldest," Kidd says. "He's the one that everyone kills." Thomas is currently sidelined with a broken foot and yet is considering returning for one more season. Kidd, however, is not ready to commit beyond this season. Although he signed a three-year contract with the Knicks last summer, he isn't ruling out retirement at season's end. Several people close to Kidd have said they wouldn't be surprised if Kidd, now a backup for the first time in his Hall of Fame career, decides to walk away. "I don't know," Kidd told the Daily News. "I'm taking it one year at a time."
