08:16 AM ET 03.22 | Prior to taking on Colorado State in the first round, Missouri coach Frank Haith ticked off the usual fundamentals: taking charges, guard play, effort plays. But he ended the list with perhaps the most crucial item. "There's no question rebounding is a big part of it, too," he added. Turns out, Haith was right. ... Colorado State outrebounded Missouri by 23 on the way to an 84-72 win. "I think they were just way more aggressive in searching out loose balls," Haith said. "I wish we would've been more passionate about rebounding, because that's what it is. It's about desire." ... "I thought they were the most aggressive team," Haith said. "They really went after us."

The SEC b'ball curse?

At MSU, Izzo runs "war drills" where the players put on football helmets and shoulder pads for rebounding drills. That's how your team gets passionate about rebounding.

I'd cal this guy a clown, but that would be over-selling Hath and demeaning to all clowns in America.

What a loser.......

@DearbornSparty: Coach Izzo hasn't done that in years. Many years, in fact.....

See, I told you guys I don't follow b'ball. I just remember reading about that some time ago. Didn't think it was years ago, but it could have been.

Now THAT sounds like B1G basketball. Always wondered why the conference is so rough and tumble.

QUOTE(#9):

Frank Haith is not a college basketball coach period. Haith is terrible. The Missouri players should be calling out Haith for not coaching or teaching. Haith should be fired.

Dude usually I never agree with you about anything, but this is spot on and I dont even know if you really mean this or are just talking trash. This guy cannot even get his team to make a play as simple as bouncing the ball in the post to your dominant big man who is shooting perfect from the field and not to mention also shoots 75% from the stripe. Why is Pressey running high screen and roll every single play??? Why is Oriaki not touching it when he has a 50 pound weight and 3 inch height advantage over anyone guarding him pretty much the entire game? This guy is an absolute clown and needs to be fired ASAP. Too much talent on that team for them to under-perform all season like that. If Mike was still there he would have taken this team to at least the sweet 16
