12:57 PM ET 03.22 | The Devils have been struggling to score goals for the past month, scoring three or more goals (not counting shootouts) just twice since Feb. 21. President/General Manager Lou Lamoriello is taking a shot on a forward from St. Louis to see if he can improve upon that. The Devils acquired forward Matt D'Agostini and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft from the St. Louis Blues on Friday in exchange for a conditional fourth or fifth-round draft pick in the 2015 Draft. D'Agostini had only a goal and an assist in 16 games with St. Louis this season. D'Agostini had his best season in 2010-11, when he scored 21 goals and put up 46 points. He suffered through some injuries and only scored nine goals and 18 points in 55 games last season, and hasn't been able to do much of anything for St. Louis in limited action during the lockout-shortened season. D'Agostini came up with the Montreal Canadiens.

Seriously! 2 points in 16 games, why did the Blues practical give him away?

A reclamation project? NJ is good at that. Hope it works out for them and D'Agostini finds his game.
