Rangers leaning toward Nick Tepesch as fifth starter

10:29 AM ET 03.23 | The Rangers' fifth-starter possession arrow seems to be pointing in Nick Tepesch's direction, and that may still be the case. The Rangers aren't ready to anoint Tepesch yet, probably because they don't want him easing up and cruising as the spring comes to an end. He still has at least one more start left, most likely on Wednesday against the Angels in Tempe. Ron Washington is still holding off naming Tepesch as the fifth starter. Derek Lowe allows him to do that. The Rangers would rather have Lowe in the bullpen. They are ready to commit to Tepesch as their fifth starter. They just aren't ready to make the official announcement.

Who????

<goes to fantasy league palyer's board to do some research>

Upon further review I find this article to be bogus: he's given up 13 runs in eighteen innings pitched.

Either this story is PURE fabrication, or Mr. Washington is back to smoking rocks again..........

the rookie would be facing tough times in his presentation as a fifth starter but can he handdle the responsability in the team?? the odds are that he may hit the triple A minor league system as soon their injuried starter in the DL be free of pain,,

but the rangers are in the middle of trading andrus for PORCELLO from the tigers,,now that would be a good trade!!!

Who?

I'd just go ahead and give the late 1st rounder and sign Lohse. They have another late first rounder from Josh leaving. They would have a proven winner in the middle of their rotation for 3 years while waiting on Perez, Grimm, and whoever else to mature. Darvish, Harrison, Loshe, Holland, Ogando - that works

Rangers are going to make a deal with LA for Harang, Capuano, or both.

Think LA would throw in Beckett? For Elvis Andrus?
