Javon Ringer surprised Titans signed Shonn Greene

12:25 PM ET 03.23 | Titans running back Chris Johnson first publicly questioned why Tennessee was bringing in free agent running back Shonn Greene. Not that Johnson, the clear and unquestioned starter, should worry about demotion. Javon Ringer, the erstwhile steadfast backup in the Titans' stable and a free agent himself, seemed to be more justified in questioning the transaction. It hasn't been lost on Ringer, either. The Tennessean reported Saturday Ringer wondered why the Titans would bring in another running back after the team had, in his opinion, multiple other running options. He doesn't take away anything from Johnson, noting "I was backing up one of the NFL's best running backs. Now I just want a shot, a fair opportunity, and hopefully I can get that somewhere else."

Apparently no one's ever informed the Tennessee RBs that the NFL is a business. Both Ringer and Chgone public with their booty-hurt-ness, as if they assumed the Titans owed them one and therefore would take care of them for life.

How naive. The NFL is strictly business, all the time.
