02:40 PM ET 03.23 | If you thought the Elvis Dumervil situation needed more ambiguity, here's some: with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens already in the hunt for the defensive end, a third team is now in the mix, although it's not clear if the Miami Dolphins have offered him a contract. The last we heard, Dumervil -- the best free agent available, per SB Nation's Adam Stites -- was visiting other teams when the Broncos' offer reportedly underwhelmed the 29-year-old pass-rusher. Friday, Denver Post reporter Mike Klis had this to say: "Elvis Dumervil has his offers from # Broncos, #Ravens. The #Dolphins have jumped into discussions, to what extent is unclear."

Until Dumervil signs for a deal better than what the Broncos offered him on Wednesday prior to the deadline, Dumervil and his rocket scientist former agent are the ones that screwed up. He can't get that deal from Denver now because of the dead money the Broncos ate when they cut him and the Ravens couldn't even match Denver's revised offer. If the Dolphins pull it out, then he can be the second best pass rusher on their team this year.
