07:53 PM ET 03.24 | The Baltimore Ravens announced Sunday that they have agreed to terms on a contract with Elvis Dumervil, contingent upon Dumervil passing a physical. Dumervil's contract with the Ravens is reportedly worth up to $35 million over five years, including $8.5 million in 2013, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Dumervil was released by the Broncos on Mar. 15, after Dumervil's agent failed to fax Dumervil's new contract to Denver's front office prior to a 4 p.m. deadline, forcing the Broncos to release the pass rusher. As a result, the Broncos had to absorb nearly $5 million in dead money for 2013, making it difficult for Denver to re-sign Dumervil -- despite the fact that the two sides agreed to a restructured deal early on Mar. 15.

...and here I was listening to the Flacco haters claim that the Ravens wouldn't have the cap space to sign anyone

Yup, he is now a Texan. I see the Ravens taking a serious downturn next year. Elvis will help, but there are a lot of missing pieces.

What is the net-net for Dumervil?Did he make much more money or not?If he made more, than his agent was a genius.

He got a lot of his new contract guaranteed.

Baltimore was desperate to sign a name player or else their fans would revolt.

Peyton Manning will be having nightmares till these two teams meet.

You think the play all along was to stick Denver with the $5MM in dead money and then sign somewhere else? If it was it was risky but ballsy. Wonder if his agent was really fired?

Ozzie Smith is one heck of a GM. Now what he needs to do is find someone to replace Boldin. Hello, Mr Cruz? Mr Smith on line two. Nah, probably not. Whew.

I could see where you might suspect that, but this was just a well-timed (and unexpected) opportunity, thanks to the Broncos'/agent gaffe
