Maggette, Bynum and Maxiell all goners from Motown?

08:09 AM ET 03.25 | In his short time in Detroit, Jose Calderon has shown his leadership qualities -- something Joe Dumars has certainly enjoyed watching. It's conceivable Calderon, should he return to the Pistons, would come back as the only player 30 or over on the roster. Corey Maggette, Will Bynum and Jason Maxiell are all free agents with uncertain prospects to return. The natural leadership qualities Dumars sees in Calderon will be even more valuable and, the Pistons would likely believe, Calderon himself would be intrigued by a role that carries such responsibility. It can't hurt, Dumars knows, if [Andre Drummond's] back injury heals in time to allow him to squeeze in at least a few games by season's end.

I noticed who wasn't on the list. I didn't see Rodney Stuckey's name on the list. Here's a player that Joe has long overvalued. Stuckey will never be the player Joe think he should be. I didn't see Charlie Villanueva who doesn't do anything but collects a pay check. And Joe Dumars should be on the list as well. He's the one that put the team together. He's the guy who signed overrated players to long term deals that no team wants.

Detroit need to clean house. Keep Monroe and Drummond. Everyone else is expendable.

Thank you! They let Chauncey & Rip go largely because Joe D thought Stuckey was the next D. Wade (good call). Not to mention signing ben Gordon and Charlie V to insane deals, true Monroe and Drummond were solid picks, along with Singler in the 2nd round but too many mistakes to keep him safe recently.

Calderon staying??? It will be interesting to see how much they offer him to split time with Knight at PG. Maggette is definitely out of there though.
