01:37 PM ET 03.25 | The New England Patriots placed Jeff Demps on injured reserve last year after their final preseason game, prematurely ending his rookie campaign before it ever officially began. While Demps still wants to return to football in 2013, he appears to be focused on his track and field career at this point, clouding his future in Foxborough. In a recent interview, Demps said he would like to be back with Patriots after his track and field season ends, putting his return date somewhere around midseason. What will he tell head coach Bill Belichick?

I think Demps decision to run track is precisely the reason why BB signed Leon Washington.

Good luck Demps, or as they say in the theater, break a leg.

You can't teach football instincts!!!

well, at least he's got a souvenir picture of himself in a Patriots uniform and some pocket change from Bob Kraft.

Didn't this guy tell the Pats several weeks ago that he was forgetting about football to focus on track? Now he wants both?

Sorry, but Jeff Demps isn't talented enough to pull a Bo Jackson. I don't see BB allowing Demps to miss half the season because his priority is track and then allowing him to return to football. Could be wrong, but I'm guessing BB wants players who are dedicated to football.

Again, if Demps was talented enough he could probably swing both, but that's not the case.

I simply got paid $6784 operating off my laptop computer this month. And if you're thinking that that is cool, my unmarried friend has twin toddlers and revamped $9k her 1st month. It feels therefore sensible creating such a lot cash once others have to be compelled to work for thus much less. this is often what I do, -- Buzz80.???O???

I did.

Well, if this lets the organization know that he could be around for the practice squad at midseason; that could actually be significant if there are a lot of injuries this year. There may be some validity then.
