12:24 PM ET 03.25 | Capitals center Mike Ribeiro has enjoyed his time in D.C. since arriving in a trade from Dallas last summer, putting up 10 goals and 24 assists to lead the team in points. Ribeiro told the Washington Times he'd prefer to extend "long term" with the Capitals, looking for a four or five year contract that would conceivably take him to the end of his career. The 33-year old is looking for a more permanent home than a two-year or short-term contract would allow, and it seems that Washington has been a good home for him so far.

4 years might be doable. I like all he's brought to the Caps this season....minus all the whining.

4 years? he's 33....

A long term contract. Isn't that every player's wet dream?

I'm not sure I'd go 4, but I agree with you. Plus, I think the whining, flopping and drama all help. I note he drives the other teams absolutely nuts with all that stuff. Throws 'em off their game occasionally. I like him a lot more than I thought I would. He'll help 'em as long as they're in the hunt.

Only if he likes the team he's on.
