08:18 AM ET 03.26 | Little has changed this spring for Pablo Sandoval. [Sandoval] came to San Francisco Giants camp fat this year, like he does pretty much every year, because there are two truths about Pablo Sandoval, and one of them is he does not do skinny. The other is that he's a remarkable hitter, preternaturally gifted like only a handful of players, maybe less. ... [Sandoval] knows he must adapt. Just not yet. "I've got this year and next year to change all the things," Sandoval said. "It's going to take me a while, but I can do it. I know I can do it. You need to learn. You need to grow up. You need to step up and know the difference between what you can do and what you can't."

One of my coaches used to require us players to run 1 mile in 5 minutes. This guy does not look very fit for a pro. Where's the professional pride?

wiseup: During his final year of his contract I would not be surprised to see him lose about 50 lbs. Knowing he may have to seek a new contract somewhere else if SF don,t extend his contract. Other teams may not be so forgiving on his weight. I agree that he hits and fields pretty well at his present weight.

Agreed , It almost seems That Panda actually is a much better hitter when He is his usual Fat self. You don't see anyone telling P.Fielder to lay off the Twinkies.

Prince actually came into camp this year noticeably lighter.

If he hits better been over weight, that could be his real secret to say the least, who knows? by losing extra weight may not help him at all,,
