08:19 AM ET 03.26 | FGCU's NCAA tournament run has introduced a wider audience to Andy Enfield, and it has also introduced Enfield to an enviable position. [The team's success] could be earning the FGCU head coach a hefty raise -- maybe with the Eagles, or maybe elsewhere. NBC 2 Sports Director Brian Colleran has learned that the university wants to re-structure Enfield's original 5-year deal, with the goal of making the 43-year old Enfield the highest paid coach in the Atlantic Sun Conference, nearly doubling his current salary to $300,000 per season. Right now, FGCU doesn't have the money to make that happen. The school is hoping to have donations come forward to help keep Enfield with the Eagles.

Where is he going? Was he on the radar before now? How about showing some consistent NCAA tourney success before dishing out the big bucks.

Live without tape delay.

Dunk City is where I grew up. Where I lived my senior year is closer to FGCU than my old HS.

Deion came into talk to my summer camp through the Local Rec Center. Community Service for a traffic violation or something. I was surprised at the time that he picked a white middle class area.

FGCU... just face it, you are not keeping your coach. Your coaching position is a "stepping stone" coaching job. He's moving on eventually.

Him and Tim Wakefield. I was three years behind Jevon Kearse.

He came to workout at my HS over the summer my freshman year. My wrestling team was running bleachers, I came to the conclusion that I had picked the right sport instead of football. His nickname was very fitting.

BSB has this covered nicely with the "mad at UF Admissions" comment. Well played.

Yep. I did not watch, but I saw a video. Apparently it was on SportsCenter, and the anchors did not know what to say after they cut back.
