Hoyas in need of a fix

08:21 AM ET 03.26 | On the flip side of NCAA Tournament Cinderella runs, we find Georgetown -- with its recent streak of big-stage clunkers. In every case, the Hoyas, seeded second, third, sixth, third and second, were large favorites but were beaten by teams seeded 10th, 14th, 11th, 11th and now 15th. That's a pattern. ... The dilemma on the Hilltop isn't any one defeat in any particular year. It may be tougher than that. Georgetown's exceptional coach, John Thompson III, may have to reevaluate, tweak and adapt the teachings of his Princeton coach and mentor Pete Carril so that Georgetown teams in the future can play up to their ability in the NCAA tournament.

This is what happens in a 1 n done scenario...best team doesnt always win...

Agree, but you have to admit there's a choke factor there, too. More than a cooincidence when the same programs go out in the first round to lower seeds. Georgetown, Mizzou.......4+ times and it's a problem, IMHO.

How's your bracket? Mine's pretty effed up, but I have 3 of the final 4 and championship team still in the hunt.

Got a bracket going a work & let my kids enter....my 7-yr old is currently in 1st place out of 41 brackets. Gonna laugh my **** off if he beats all the grown-ups. He even picked the Harvard upset (pure luck).....makes him look like friggin Rain Man

Yes, UF just won the SEC and took over the #1 spot.

Softball is the only sport at UF that I have been able to use the "solo cup" and watch the game from outside the fence.
