04:41 PM ET 03.26 | ESPN's Brett McMurphy reports that Tulsa will be leaving Conference USA in the 2014 season and join what is currently called the Big East (although it figures to be renamed in due time). Tulsa joined Conference USA in 2005 from the WAC, and has up to this point compiled a record of 72-34 during its time there. The "Big East" will have eleven members at the start of the 2014 season, with Navy scheduled to join as a football-only member in 2015.

I think the conference realignment process will start slowing down. The Big 12 may or may not cause a shake-up, but right now that seems unlikely. Unless Delaney wants to push the B1G to 16 teams, I don't see much more movement in the near term. After the play-off format has run for a couple of years, you may see some schools trying to better position themselves.

I think a lot of the entities involved are waiting to see how the Maryland-ACC exit fee thing works out.
