06:44 PM ET 03.26 | Firas Zahabi, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre's trainer and owner of Montreal's Tri-Star Gym, says that while the champion is currently motivated to keep going in his career, the end may be closer than some fans realize. "He's giving up a lot of free time and leisure time and experiences he could be having in life to maintain his title, to maintain this excellence. It's a difficult thing to do. He's going to have to make that choice one fight at a time. Does he want to go through another training camp? Right now at this time, yes, for sure. There's no doubt in my mind he wants to do another one, but down the line, two or three more training camps, is he still going to want to do it? That's up to him. Does he still have the fire and the passion? We'll see." St-Pierre recently defeated Nick Diaz and UFC 158 this month. He does not currently have a fight lined up.

He's 31 - MMA has provided him with tens of millions of dollars, and he's been a company man all the while. While I'll be sad to see GSP hang up the four ounce gloves, if he wants to retire, he's earned it. Of course, if he hangs them up in the next year or so, he won't surpass Anderson in terms of GOAT status. But that's fine...

NOTHING will allow GSP to surpass Silva....Silva has had a career of FINISHING his opponents while GSP has had a career of winning decisions....Silva could die today, GSP could continue fighting and winning for another 10 years and STILL GSP's decisions will NEVER overcome Silva's finishes....

You are arguing style. GSP is as much a MMA genius as Silva. Just because the Spider is a more lethal striker... so be it. I love Spider. But, the way GSP dominates guys and controls the fight from start to finish is just as much an artform. Is Tyson a better boxer than Ali? Tyson was a far more devastating puncher. However, Ali won using stratehy and guile to perfection - much like GSP.

Give both guys credit. They are both legends. No sense criticizing one guy. They both have done their sport prouod and deserve equal credit for their athleticism, dedication and class.

Silva is undefeated in the Octagon with a reputation for brutal finishes....Giant Sleeping Pill has lost 2x. Silva is the GOAT and it's not even close.
