07:58 AM ET 03.27 | Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant enters 2013 with big numbers in mind. [Bryant] is confident that he's capable of becoming the NFL's first 2,000-yard receiver. The 24-year-old Bryant believes his 2012 breakout season, when he caught 92 passes for 1,382 yards and 12 touchdowns, was just the beginning. Bryant had 50 catches for 879 yards and 10 touchdowns in the final eight games, numbers that would be among the best in NFL history if projected over a full season, and production that Bryant believes he can build upon. "That's still scratching the surface," Bryant said. ... "I feel like it can be a lot more than that. That's just being honest. I honestly feel like [2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns] can potentially happen."

Dez, your QB is Tony Romo. Me thinks not.

March 27, 2013  08:16 AM ET

He might as well forget a winning season then.

March 27, 2013  08:17 AM ET

Bold prediction to say a 45% increase in his yards from last season and a 67% increase in tds. Of that 879 yds in the final 8 games, 224 was against NO ranked #31 in pass D, 216 against the Skins (#30) and 145 against Browns (#25) - so 585 against bad Ds. In that same period he had 59 against Steelers and 50 against the Bengals. So don't see it being even close.

Good Points!

Even better point!

Just when I thought Dez was on the straight-and-narrow, now I see he's back on the pipe.

Nah, he's just young and stupid.

And that won't change until he's old and stupid.

"Bryant: 2,000 yards, 20 TDs can happen ... but not for me."

Just shut it! Let your performance do the talking dude!

Has nothing to do with Tony dude...

If Dallas is playing from behind all season, it is a legit target. If they are playing solid defense and can conjure up a run game, he will find it hard to duplicate what he did LAST season.

In all reality, he is prob going to put up 80-90 catches, 1100-1300yds and 10 scores due to Witten, Austin and the emergence of Harris.

Yeah. Megatron's record last year was set on a 4-12 team.

LOL... only if romo starts passing to dez and forgets about witten - since witten gets 75% of romo's throws. but that much passing is a sign we are in trouble. just impress us with a record above .500 next season. that would be a nice change.

75% is a reach but I get your point...

For the record, Witten saw 23% of Romo's pass attempts last season, Dez 21%, Austin 18%.

Nice for him to have a goal though and hopefully he will keep working hard with Tony to expand on the bond they have already. If they got to the level of comfort he has with Witten, look out!

March 27, 2013  10:20 AM ET

Sure it's possible, but it won't be by you with that brainfart QB throwing to you. You'll have to get out of Little D to have it happen. Megatron will be the guy who does it if anyone does. He's a freak.

I just like picking on Tony. It's fun!

Tony makes it easy that is for sure....

LOL

1500/15 TDs might be doable, but then again if you're going to dream, may as well dream big!

Says the guy who has only cracked 1,000 yards, 10 TDs once in his career.
