08:20 AM ET 03.27 | Though Jarome Iginla is no longer in his prime, he remains a high-end talent. Calgary GM Jay Feaster is asking for goaltender Malcolm Subban to be part of any package from Boston. Boston GM Peter Chiarelli flatly refuses to include Subban in any package. Feaster, who is looking for two prospects and a draft pick for Iginla, has also approached Los Angeles about goalie Jonathan Bernier. It is believed that Bernier and a first-round pick would be enough to make Iginla a King. A Pittsburgh source suspects that GM Ray Shero may not be willing to part with the prospects required to land Iginla, but will stay in the auction to drive price up for Boston. Chicago was contacted by Feaster, not the other way around.

Still young, but I really wasn't sold on goaltender Subban at the WJC.

Anyway, Feaster will get what he wants for Iginla. Someone will pay.

Agreed.

Agreed. So far, the hype is supersedes the performance.

I think it will be more likely that the B's land a player like Clowe, rather than Iginla.

Pete Chiarelli's gotten used to getting something for nothing with BB in Toronto. Now, he has to readjust his attitude a little if he wants to improve his team for the playoff run.

I still think it'll be L.A. with the Hawks a distant second.

I think it's someone outta left field who grabs him, but who knows.

Like Dee-teroit?

I was thinking the same thing there is more often then not a dark horse that catches all the "experts" off guard. But I guess if you provide a list it sort of limits it.

I think Detroit's better off keeping what little youth they have.

Well ... you said 'left field.'

Nah! We have Monster. What more do we need?

I don't think he gave any list. I think TSN' hockey people are paid too much and have way too much time on their hands.

If Iginla gets traded before the deadline show, that thing is just going to be a bunch of old white men talking about absolutely nothing.

Or as they call it in the business.....Wednesday.

Didn't you feel sorry for them at the TDL last year? Not even a little? After days of hype and hoopla ..... NOTHING happened! They looked like they were ready to cry.

You must be happy your thoughts fell on deaf ears.
