08:21 AM ET 03.27 | Money, it's gotta be the ... hair. Or more precisely, lack of it. That's the reason Red Wings coach Mike Babcock is convinced Damien Brunner will be coming out of a scoring slump. "The new haircut, he looks faster," Babcock said of Brunner, who got his haircut last weekend in Los Angeles. "He'll be shooting (the puck)." Brunner joked he only gets a haircut several times a year, but he'll do anything to get a goal. Brunner has not scored a goal in 13 games after Monday's 3-2 victory over Phoenix. Brunner was credited with the Wings' first goal Monday but was it later given to Ian White, Brunner's stick never touching the puck on the shot. Still, Babcock saw a different Brunner in his 14 minutes, 19 seconds of ice time.

I guess this is a joke.

One of the prerequisites of being a NHL coach is that you must have a dry wit.

Coach Mike Babcock said ..... "He'll be shooting (the puck)."

I guess up until now his stick was getting caught in his locks.

Yeah. We did too. A hairless Brunner!

I suppose you could argue he's a little more aerodynamic now. Look out NHL!

Either dry wit or this job has finally driven Babcock round the bend.... is there nothing better today in hockey news than this??
