Ravens sign Michael Huff to 3-year deal

12:56 PM ET 03.27 | Free-agent safety Michael Huff has a agreed to a three-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, according to Matt Zenitz of the Carroll County Times. Huff is an eight-year veteran who has spent his entire career with the Oakland Raiders. He was released by the team on Mar. 12. Huff was also considering the Packers and Cowboys.

It's a decent deal for a decent player. Surely, they'll still have to address the safety position in the draft.

I was gonna say something about how this sucks for the Cowboys since they had targeted this guy to replace Sensabaugh, but then I read elsewhere that Dallas intentionally didn;t offer Huff a deal because they already have an (illegal) agreement in place with Will Allen.

Hope Goodell doesn't hear about this. Big D doesn't need any more cap penalties.

Wrong.

Huff wanted to go to Dallas (he's a Texas boy) but the Cowboys never offered him a deal.
