06:18 PM ET 03.27 | The Royce White saga continues its ups and downs. Days after the former first-round pick by the Houston Rockets left his D-League assignment with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, White returned on Tuesday to play in a game on Tuesday against the Tulsa 66ers. Afterward, he said he left the team to train in Houston because of his travel anxieties. He added that he'll finish out the current homestand with the Vipers, but won't participate in the playoffs. "The playoff schedule and how hectic it is in the D-League probably ain't going be the best thing for me," White said. "Going to the playoffs, I want them to have a team that's going to stick together."

I can't tell whether to feel bad for this guy or not, because I can't tell if *he* realizes what's actually going on - that as soon as they're no longer legally required to pay him money, he will never play professional basketball again. That seems like such a waste of talent. It seems like the Rockets *want* to work with him, but he's not really willing to work with them.

the way this guys leaves or does 'whats best' for the d-league makes it sound like he really really thinks he's going to play in the nba next season. absolutely delusional!

I think he is slowly realizing the Association is just too much for him to handle. It is what it is. Time to hang em up.
