LeBron sounds off on opponents' rough play

08:01 AM ET 03.28 | The Bulls made things difficult on Miami Wednesday night, particularly on their best player, and it showed. [Chicago] used a pretty straightforward tactic in defending LeBron James. Play rough. The Bulls tried to deny LeBron anything easy in the paint, making it a point to not only foul James, but to do it with a bit of emphasis. ... "Those are not basketball plays," James said. "And it's been happening all year and I've been able to keep my cool and tell Spo, 'Let's not worry about it too much.' But it's getting to me a little bit, because every time I try to defend myself, I've got to face the consequences of a flagrant for me or a technical foul or whatever the case may be."

He's dead on right.
When guys are going to the rim, all this trying to stop them from scoring crap....
Someone is gonna get hurt.
When you get **** the dribble any foul after should be 2 shots & the ball, sick of guys trying to mug you just cause they were stagnant on defense.
Also trying to wrap guys up and pulling them down while in the air?
It's crazy that's its aloud.
Should only be able to put your hands up that's it.
They better adjust the rules cause it's crazy under the rim, when a guy tries to stop you from scoring.
No this isn't the bad boy pistons days!

Ok but what about what lebron or any other offensive player clearly lowers their shoulder and bulldozes into the lane. That's just as dangerous as them grabbing him. I don't have a problem with it but th heat will still march on to a ring this year

He never hurt anybody with that.
He tries to get around the defender and get to the hoop.
He never held anybody down under the rim.
He never tried to mug a guy who took him off the dribble.
As I said any foul where somebody is in front of you and you foul when they are getting a clear path to the rim should be a clear path foul, I hate these sissy plays players can get away with cause you get around them, and they don't play defense and can't defend a guy straight up.

100% agree.

LeBron uses his left arm every single time he drives to the basket and pushes off the defender to make space. How is that not a offensive foul? Were Bulls defenders physical with LebRon? Yes.
But go ask Shaq, or MJ, or Kobe, on how tough teams want to play them because of their dominance.
LeBron uses his hands to push off, not once, not twice, not thrice, .....not 7 times, but every single time, in the words of some famous guy :-)

Physical play is Old School. Men just deal with it. You play through it. The best response is to score or make other good plays. Complaining is usually a sign that it's working.

The Lakers got a gift from poor officiating again. Rubio was fouled on the last shot of the game and since it was Kobe, no call.

It happens.

There isn't anything new on the court. YOu play through stuff. Dirty stuff usually gets caught and eliminated. But, rough play should be handled. That's what men do.

QUOTE(#15):

Waaaaaaaaaaa! Common Lebron, you get calls even when you don't get fouled. Your team also fouls hard also. Just shut your mouth and move on. Teams get tired of your antics and are tired of getting punked by your team. You think those highlight dunks and stare downs are fine w/ the other teams? Are they suppose to just lay down and let you guys dunk all over them? Just shut up! It just makes you a whiner!

It's usually not good to complain about physical play. Unless it's a cheap play, best to just play through contact.

QUOTE(#17):

Physical is one thing, dirty is another.

Of course. Dirty and cheap are not good. But, physical is fine.
