08:05 AM ET 03.28 | Forgive Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki for occasionally casting a glance west, where the Dodgers are running away with a spending race. Can a World Series championship be bought for $215 million? The Dodgers are going to try. So I asked Tulo: Does he ever allow himself to be envious of the Dodgers' payroll? "Yeah. No doubt," Tulowitzki said Tuesday. "You play at the highest level, because you want to play with the best players. So there are times when you look at it and say: 'Man, I wish we were able to spend $200 million.'" While sitting at his locker in the Rockies' spring training facility, Tulowitzki spoke in a matter of fact tone. No anger. Zero bitterness.

You and the article forgot to mention Troy that you sign a long term contact with the Rockies which no one force you to do. Maybe you can play in Dodger blue one day, but if not you can dream about it while drawing your 20 million a year finishing out your contract with the Rockies.

Which I thought was a dumb move by the Rockies to begin with.

Which translates to: "I looked at my team and man do we lack talent".

wiseup: The Dodgers can't sign everybody that plays for a noncontending team. The Dodgers would need an 80 man roster.

That's better than purple with rage.

Spending doesn't equal winning. The Dodgers have a ton of dumb contracts, don't be envious.

The guy just said it would be nice to have $200 million to put towards payroll. How many players wouldn't want their team to be able to do that?

If Tulo and Cargo stay healthy I expect them both to ask to be traded by mid-season when the Rockies will be 30 and 50. You know your team stinks when guys other teams cut would be your #1 starter.
