'Too nice' Rodriguez blasts Wildcats

08:07 AM ET 03.28 | For Rich Rodriguez, there's still time to change his course. The Arizona Wildcats are halfway through spring football practice, and [Rodriguez] realizes he made a mistake. "I have been too nice," he said. Rodriguez dressed down his team after Monday's practice, his voice carrying across the Kindall/Sancet practice facility, and he was still agitated when he met with a small group of reporters. Did you take a closer look at the scrimmage from Saturday? "Oh yeah. We evaluated it, in all its ugliness." ... You don't seem particularly happy with the team right now. "Nope. It's all right. They might not be happy with me either, so the feeling's probably mutual." Perhaps a good mid-spring venting is good for the soul.

RichRod is a good college football coach and I think he will make Arizona a force once he gets his recruits in there.

That worked so well at Michigan.

Bring back Rich Rod.

As a Wolverine, I was happy to see RichRod go. His style is not of the Winged Helmets. He is not a 'Michigan Man.'

But he may well be a better fit at Arizona. I wish him the best there.

While I won't miss RichRod at Michigan, the guy can do a good job at Arizona. He has so far, anyway. Nothing wrong with him doing a little spring venting.

The line between genius and idiot is a thin one, with RodHead spending plenty of time on both sides. As a head coach I'm not so convinced. He intimidated the kickers at UM until they performed like poor middle school kickers, and organizing the defensive coordinators was an obvious fiasco. Success at U of A? Not if that horrid snake tongue resurfaces from the underworld for extended periods. Though part of me still whimpers at having to watch the horror of UM going up against 'Bama with that offering last year instead of Denard in year 3 under HeadRod's offense.

Which UM - MSU game was featured in 'The Big Chill'? Who were some of the players getting screen time?

Does Mal Moore get credit for this as well?

Pretty sure it was TSUN vs tOSU game that was the game during the Big Chill week-end, but I don't remember which players were mentioned in the movie.

Nope. TSUN vs Spartans, and the last scene to include a glimpse of the game was an MSU interception. The Big Blue alum characters were aghast, rhetorically asking who the UM QB was throwing to (other than the wide open Spartan who pulled down the ball).

Yeah, he was a Jekyll and Hyde at West Virginia too.
