01:19 PM ET 03.28 | Still undecided about bringing Jason Hanson back for a 22nd season, the Detroit Lions are beginning to entertain options for his replacement and will host kicker David Akers on a free agent visit next week. Hanson notified the team earlier this month that he planned on playing another season, but so far, negotiations have gone nowhere on a new contract. Team president Tom Lewand said at the NFL owners meetings last week that there was no guarantee Hanson would return.

David Akers is a good man. Hope he finds a team and gets his form back.
