07:21 PM ET 03.28 | While WSOF welterweight Josh Burkman wants to earn the WSOF title, it looks like he's going to have to wait a while. Al Abdel-Aziz, WSOF senior executive vice president, told the media Thursday the organization is staving off awarding titles any time soon. "Right now, we're concerned with putting on fun fights for fans," he said. "In the process, for guys like Marlon Moraes, Justin Gaethje, Josh Burkman, and many others, we will make sure that when they get title shots they will have earned it. A title fight has to mean something to the promotion." The third and next WSOF event is scheduled for June 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Good call. Focus on your product and entertaining the fans, then introduce titles once your divisions are deeper. The WSOF seems to have really smart people running it.
