08:01 PM ET 03.28 | Earlier this week it was reported that the Jacksonville Jaguars were the "most likely" destination for Seattle Seahawks odd-man-out Matt Flynn. But it appears as though those reports were based off of speculation and they actually held very little water. According to the Florida Sun-Times, the Jaguars did indeed entertain the idea of trading for Flynn, but have ultimately decided to pull their hat out of running for the quarterback. Currently the Jaguars are entering a crucial year for Blaine Gabbert, one that many are seeing as a make-or-break season for the third year quarterback. There has been talk of bringing in everyone from Tim Tebow to drafting Geno Smith and now trading for Flynn, but Gabbert has remained resilient through it all. Still, it's clear that the Jaguars aren't sold on him, as while they've yet to pull the trigger on a deal thus far, the fact that they've been entertaining them so much isn't soothing news for Gabbert defenders.

I say "scapegoat?"

With support from the team he could be a better than average QB. But, every year he's been there they've openly talked about replacing him. That's gotta take a toll on your confidence thinking you could be yanked from a game at any time. Makes your QB play way too conservative. J-Ville is a QB killer.

I suspect 31other NFL teams have the same view of Gabbert as J'Ville does.

Does Jacksonville even know what it is doing ? Why would Jacksonville even entertain the idea of trading for Flynn, it would be stupid. but I'm sure Seattle thinks it would be a great idea.

Jags better start with a new chapter soon.

If you are the Jags and looking for QB help just be patience and wait until after the draft and Flynn or Tebow will probably be release.

When your QB is named "Blaine Gabbert" you will never win. Period.
