08:05 AM ET 03.29 | Jamal Crawford would prefer not to be separated from his money on account of criticizing officials. Almost no one wants to talk about referees. "It's hard to," [Crawford] said Thursday. "I like my money." But Matt Barnes, a player who has made a career of not backing down from anyone on the court, didn't back down from the touchy topic, calling for the league to be more transparent with their officials. "One I thing I will say is I know they get graded. I think their grades should be public record," Barnes said before the Clippers' victory over New Orleans Wednesday. "Everything we do on the court is public. Our fines, our techs, everything we do is under a microscope. And the refs are supposed to be a part of this league."

Crawford wants NBA officials' grades made public...

Sorry Jamal, that's privy to Stern, Kobe and LeBron.

This is an excellent idea. Of course the grades should be public.

Why keep them secret. What does the secrecy serve?

Sometimes the NBA refs are so bad it is hard to watch the games. That foul not called on Kobe against Rubio in the last second was inexcusable... the ref was looking right at them 6 feet away!

It's called "employee grades". Those will and should remain private.

Crawford and barnes should shut their pie holes and play ball.

I agree with the grading, but I sure would like it be an impartial evaluator. There have been some really crazy referee calls especially lately. Complacency on the job affects everyone.
