08:14 AM ET 03.29 | Ryan Madson, the Angels' presumptive closer, is on track to come back soon from Tommy John surgery -- but how soon? He's still a little conflicted on that part. ... [Said Madson:] "For me, I'd rather sooner than later." So would the Angels, although they're sounding a bit more cautious. "Every day he takes a step forward and crosses some hurdles, but there's still a long way to go before we see him in a game," Manager Mike Scioscia said. "There's a lot of hurdles he has to pass, and any one can set you back or reach a plateau. And you can also fly by two or three with a great outing and rebounding well. So it's just tough to quantify what the final stages of his rehab are going to be."

The Reds signed him as their closer last yearbut blew is elbow early in spring training. Madson never threw a pitch for reds butcost them his salary for last year. now Angels have him and who knows how much he will pitch or how well.I'm glad the Angels have him And glad Reds only signed him for one year.

Madson is not doing bad for himself sucking in the Reds last year and now the Halos this year and still cannot pitch.
