08:16 AM ET 03.29 | With Southern Cal's spring game looming in a few weeks, the program learned the details of a severe injury on Thursday. USC tight end Xavier Grimble will miss the remainder of spring practices because of a chest fracture, according to Trojans coach Lane Kiffin. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Grimble is expected to be one of the veteran leaders on the USC offense as he shares tight end duties with Randall Telfer. ... Grimble, a redshirt junior, adds to a growing injury list for the Trojans this spring, one that includes tailback Silas Redd (torn meniscus, out for the spring), quarterback Max Wittek (sprained MCL, missed one week) and wide receiver Marqise Lee (knee, out of action since March 9).

What happen? He run into Layla's tata's?

Back in the 90s, we had a guy fall down stairs and blow his ACL out and I thought we had the weirdest ways to get injuries...

USC is the master at weird injuries. Chest fracture? Who gets that? And they had the guy crush his windpipe/neck when he dropped the weights on his neck.... weird injuries.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Can't think of another way except for maybe a car wreck or something similar.

Sympathies to Grimble. That's one uncomfortable injury.

Pity the top the thread with a Kiff pic. Surely, there's a pic of Grimble available for use. With current NCAA rules, FN could obtain one from USCw with no concerns for repercussions.

Nah. Even with restrictions, we still have depth on O. No major worries over here.
