08:21 AM ET 03.29 | Well, this one will very likely leave a mark. Alex Ovechkin was struck in the chin by a puck during Capitals practice Thursday morning and needed 22 stitches to close the gaping wound. "He went to get stitches, part of the job," Coach Adam Oates said. Ovechkin was taking part in a two-on-one drill and when Braden Holtby stopped his shot the rebound popped up and hit him in the face. Washington's star winger didn't suffer any serious harm from the errant puck but was sporting a nasty gash on his chin, which he shared with the world on his Twitter account. "It's hockey ))) hahaha," Ovechkin wrote in the tweet shortly after leaving practice. Once doctors had closed the wound Ovechkin shared a photo of his newly mended chin.

Since you can't understand most of what comes out of his mouth, what does it matter?

March 29, 2013  09:26 AM ET

As long as he keeps those skates moving he'll be fine.

Somehow I don't think you care as much about what comes out Malkin's mouth as about what he does with his stick. ;-)

Maybe he can borrow a chin from his previous coach
