09:12 PM ET 03.29 | UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has a rematch impending at UFC 160 with Antonio Silva, one he is widely expected to win. But even if he weren't, the champion believes his teammate at American Kickboxing Academy and former Olympian Daniel Cormier is the toughest guy he'll ever face even if it's only sparring in the gym. "I won't fight anyone tougher," Velasquez said. "I fight him three days a week. We definitely push each other the whole time. He's still new to the sport. I see him constantly getting better. It shows in his fights. He's going to be a champion wherever he goes." Cormier is set to make his UFC debut against Frank Mir next month at UFC on FOX 7. Should he win that bout, Cormier is widely expected to drop to light heavyweight and face UFC lightweight champion Jon Jones. "That's the plan," Velasquez said. "He said after this one fight with Frank he's going down in weight to fight Jon Jones. I definitely have all the faith in him in that fight, for sure."
