08:45 AM ET 03.30 | Danny Amendola told ESPN 101 in St. Louis he received three or four offers from teams that were better than the Rams' offer. "I had three or four head-and-shoulders opportunities that were far outweighing what the Rams had offered, but I understand that it's a business. I understand that they have numbers, they value me as they will. And it turned out that other teams valued me a little higher and so that's the way it goes."

Actually they valued you the same, then factored in the 20 missed games the last two years, the 689 yards gained for the full season you played and the 7 TDs in four seasons played, divided all by four and came up with a number.

This guy got his start in Dallas but Jerry let him go in 2009, the year he traded the 1st, 3rd and 6th round picks for another receiver that is no longer on the team. Jerry also traded out of the 2nd round that year. What a dooofus.

True, but every team in the NFL passed on him in the draft too and the Eagles also let him go. Look, after four years he has totaled 1,700 yards and 7 TDs. 102 yards of those 660 yards he gained last year came in ONE game. He just happened to be the best of a bad lot with the Rams.

He fits perfectly into a Wes Welker role for the Pats, but something tells me Tom isn't going to be too happy if Hernandez, Gronk and Danny are all wearing sweats and standing on the sidelines during games next season.

Welker missed all of three games in six years with the Pats. Brady threw for over 4,000 yards once in his first seven years without Welker, and a lot more than that in 4 of 6 years with Welker ( that includes his injured year).

To say Brady made Welker as many do, is a bit disingenuous. That was a two way street.
