09:07 AM ET 03.30 | Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson wasn't thrilled with his contract negotiations with Rangers general manager Jon Daniels and his former employers in Texas and believes that may be a trend that is hurting the club. In a visit with SVP and Russillo on ESPN Radio, Wilson was asked to compare his current team with his former team in Texas. "The attitude is different with the fans and the front office is definitely different," Wilson said. "I would say that there's a lot more communication in Anaheim. There???s a lot more interpersonal relationships with the front office here than there is there." Wilson believes the Rangers management's approach to their players has led to some of the exits from the three-time playoff contender. "That's one of the reasons why I feel like a lot of the guys have left Texas over the past couple of years because of communication issues with the agents and the players and the general manger," Wilson said.

Captain: You gonna get used to wearing them chains after a while, Luke. Don't you never stop listening to them clinking, 'cause they gonna remind you what I been saying for your own good.
Luke: I wish you'd stop being so good to me, Cap'n.
Captain: Don't you ever talk that way to me. (pause, then hitting him) NEVER! NEVER! (Luke rolls down hill; to other prisoners) What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

Says the guy with the 77.5 million dollar contract and below average ERA plus last year. I think he'd be better off accomplishing something in LA before he starts running his mouth about the problems in Texas. So far Texas dodged a bullet when he signed with LA.

Poor communications? As in they did not offer me the most money. That is all.

Seems to me like Texas communicated just fine. They said "we don't think you're worth that much" pretty loud and clear. I think Wilson just got his feelings hurt.

He could learn a thing or two from folks in the real business world.

1) Never disparage your past employers. The worst thing you do is say nothing.

2) Take your money, work, smile, and shut the &%* up.

CJ,
Their was no failure to communicate on the Rangers part. They let you walk without giving you an offer and replaced you with Yu Darvish. I do wish you could have experience a failure to communicate-****.
