04:07 PM ET 03.30 | Portland Trail Blazers big man LaMarcus Aldridge won't travel with the team during its brief road trip as he recovers from an ankle injury, leaving an already thin roster in dire condition. Without their star player anchoring the middle, rookie Meyers Leonard has been starting for Portland. While the first round pick has size and potential, this is a player that didn't even light up the Big Ten last year. In the past four games, Leonard has averaged nearly 28 minutes per contest but has failed to block a single shot as opponents have dominated the post. Aldridge suffered the injury during Wednesday's game against Brooklyn and missed Friday's game against Utah.

Don't rush back. After the last two games, the playoff are out of the picture. Portland was never going to make the playoffs this season. Portland overachieved all season long. The fact that they lasted this long made this a good season.

Scout and draft well and don't waste money in the off season by signing worthless free agents to big money deals.
