06:39 PM ET 03.30 | On Friday, conflicting reports emerged regarding a potential trade between the Cardinals and Raiders that would send Carson Palmer to Arizona. Now, according to AZ Central's Kent Somers, the Cardinals are interested in trading for Palmer, but only for the right price. They would only be willing to give up late-round draft picks, possibly conditional on how, or if, Palmer plays. The Cardinals would also like to restructure Palmer's contract, and if he refuses, the trade would be off. Palmer has already denied taking a pay cut with the Raiders, which is what spurred the trade talks with Seattle regarding Matt Flynn and could lead to Palmer's departure from Oakland. If the Raiders trade for Flynn, GM Reggie McKenzie will likely look to trade Palmer, and the Cardinals should be the first team calling. Whether or not he winds up in Arizona is the big question.

Carson, all your threats about how you have saved your money better be real. Nobody wants you now.

This is why the Cardinals will always suck.

Let's say the Cardinals get Palmer. What's he got left? A year, maybe two of mediocre play? He got his second chance cash grab. I say they all pass and let him wander off into the sunset.

He's done.

are the cardinals really trying to beat out the Raiders as worst franchise?

Really. Every year they win just enough to not have a good draft pick. Best they can do in their division is 3rd place anyway.

The Cardinals suck out loud and the time is now to trade Fitzgerald for draft picks and start over. What will Palmer do, help the Cards win 6 or 7 games?

Go ahead and take the Draft pick Oakland. But what ever you do don't trade for Flynn. Ask yourself how many other teams are beating down the door to get to Flynn? Chances are no one else has even knocked on Seattle's door. You're better off inviting a couple of free agents to try out for the QB position .

I thought I read a story on here that Palmer got released, sat his kids down and told them all Daddy got fired, then signed with Indy later that afternoon.

Was that a different quarterback? Did I step into a lighthouse somewhere?
