01:47 PM ET 03.31 | We received the sad news on Saturday afternoon that Alabama Crimson Tide athletic director Mal Moore had passed away at age 73. Moore's death was a result of the pulmonary condition that had hospitalized him and ultimately led to his decision to step down from the AD position. Moore was a legend and his presence is going to missed at the University of Alabama. There is no better way to see the impact his loss had on everyone around the university than to see the series of statements that were released after his passing.

He was a good man. No one I have ever heard talk of him has ever had anything bad to say about him.
