Ultimately, Marquis declared for the draft after the University of Kentucky won the national championship and was drafted by the Chicago Bulls, who happened to have a need a point guard with star point guard Derrick Rose recovering from an ACL tear he suffered during the 2012 NBA playoffs. With the Bulls, Teague has had a trying season playing in only 44 contests and averaging 2.3 points per game on 38 percent shooting.
