Florida center considering NBA

08:16 AM ET 04.01 | Erik Murphy shouldered a good bit of the blame Sunday and cried in the wake of Florida's loss, though his teammates were quick to try to prop him up afterward. "I just feel terrible for him because I know he was trying," center Patric Young, who had just 8 points himself, said of Murphy. "He was giving his best effort out there. I don't know what it was today, his confidence or just nerves, the pressure." ... Young will take some time now to decide about his future. "I'm going to catch up on school, take a little bit of time away and talk to my family. I'm going to do whatever I feel is best," he said of possibly leaving for the NBA, although it's doubtful right now he would forecast as a first-round draft pick.

They looked pretty bad against FGCU for 80% of the first half, too - and then started hitting some shots and taking advantage of TOs. Michigan wasn't gonna let that happen. That had to be the worst 2 game-opening 10 min of any Regional team anytime anywhere. smh

Getting to the Elite Eight pretty much says you are a fairly good team, tough to call a team that accomplishes that "overrated", but that's just me.

I agree here GR. I think UF won more because FGCU's 3's started to not fall like they were in the first. There were more in-n-outs for them....they make a couple of those and it's a different game.

But the Gators got to the Elite Eight...congrats for a good season.

Tough call, he is in that gray area of "good, but not first-round good". Wouldn't blame him if he went, but another year at UF might be his best option.

Oregon got to the Sweet Sixteen and they were good. I didn't say that the Gators weren't any good this year, I said, IMO they were overrated. Zona beat Florida in the regular season and they were overrated too!! :-)

They were hot, for sure, and we were not. We had good shots from the paint, and still couldn't get anything to drop for the first 10-12 min.

I am happy with their season personally, you always are disappointed when your team gets the L in the tourney but I think they just ran out of gas.

LOL...they are playing in a tournament, which you want for CFB, and doing what needs to be done (win, which you want to see in the CFB Tourny) to get to the Elite Eight...and they still don't deserve to be there?

Come on Mane..... :)

Default good morning!!! I never said that the Gators shouldn't have been in the NCAA Tournament!!! I still stand by my opinion, that they were overrated this year. I also think that Zona was overrated and Oregon was better than a 12 seed!!!! :-)

Hell UCLA beat Zona three times during the regular season and we all know that the Bruins were overrated!!! :-)

I'll stir things up. Having played it out so far, evidence suggest the Big East was the best conference in the land this year. 50% of the final four teams.

Isn't the State of Florida 11-2 this year?

They didn't get anyone to the final four.

And the state of Texas is 0-0 since we were so pathetic we didn't even get a participant!

I am going to miss the Big east tournament in MSG. Now it's on to Hooterville in the ACC.
