08:22 AM ET 04.01 | After cutting ties with Brian Kelly's current program, Gunner Kiel seems to have some interest in his former head coach's previous stomping grounds. [Kiel], a former five-star quarterback recruit who recently decided to leave Notre Dame, attended the Cincinnati Bearcats' football scrimmage today at the Bengals' Paul Brown Stadium. Kiel is looking for a new school, and a UC source said the Bearcats believe they have a good shot at landing Kiel. Kiel has been visiting in Cincinnati for the past two days. "He's looking at several schools," the source said. "You never know. Throw your name in the hat, see what happens." ... Kiel originally committed to Indiana and then LSU before [Notre Dame].

Maybe he should consider Auburn. Malzahn's used to dealing with quarterbacks who want to bounce around (c/r Mitch Mustain).
