08:00 AM ET 04.03 | The Avs weren't supposed to be active at the deadline, but they weren't supposed to stumble through much of this season, either. "You just never know," defenseman Erik Johnson said Monday before the Avs lost [to Detroit]. ... "It's probably an unnerving time for everybody. Anything can happen." Given that forwards Matt Duchene and Gabe Landeskog are considered untouchable, center Ryan O'Reilly is untouchable because of his contract and that playoff contenders don't need a starting goalie in Semyon Varlamov, the 25-year-old Johnson could be one of the few players to warrant significant return in a possible trade. Another would be right wing P.A. Parenteau, who leads the Avs with 14 goals, 21 assists and 35 points.

Trading Johnson would allow Colorado to once again hold their season ending golf tourney!

Why would PAP be available for a trade? From the sounds of it, he's been one of their best players and he was CO's FA prize signing. Seems like a reach there by the Denver Post.

QUOTE(#7):

He's a Jason Blake that actually worked out. I don't see Colorado as being more than a few tweaks (and a goalie) and management changes from being a playoff team. Keep him.

Isles let Blake walk at the right time, they may let PAP walk too early. He's a great passer and I'd take him on the first line over Boyes any day of the week.
