03:09 PM ET 04.03 | Quarterback Rex Grossman has re-signed with the Redskins, according to Pro Football Talk. Grossman has spent the past three seasons in Washington and served as the third-string quarterback behind rookies Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins in 2012. That followed a 2011 season where Grossman started 13 games. In that time he completed 58 percent of his passes for 3,151 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. He did not throw a pass last season. Grossman enters his 11th NFL season in 2013. He has served primarily as a backup throughout his career, but Mike Jones of the Washington Post confirms the former Florida quarterback is excited about another year with the Redskins. Grossman may not be shoe-in to return as the emergency quarterback in 2013 for the Redskins. Washington may be close to signing former West Virginia and Miami Dolphins quarterback Pat White, who would be much more of a fit for the read-option portion of the team's offense.

And can you believe Rex hired Drew Rossenhaus as an agent ?

Redskins RGIII (Rex Grossman III - his real name) is ready to start first day of camp.

Go back to sleep.

I thought Pat White was already signed as the third string QB. How many 3rd string QBs do the Skins need???

Wait, is a 3rd string QB battle looming in camp? Sweet!

I have to wonder if GMs wince when they hear Rosenhaus's name.

Only if they aren't representing Rex Gross. How much could he want ?

I kid a lot on Grossman, but behind the scenes, he helped groom both RGIII and Cousins on being a QB in the NFL.

He does have the ability to string a few wins together. Plus he's a change of pace from the read option.

For the love of God, why?

It could not have hurt him to get out from under Lovie Smith and Ron Turner's influence.

Signing this many QBs, at this point in the offseason, makes little sense to me. Is Cousins about to be traded?

When tied to Grossman... they probably chuckle in anticipation of the line of garbage they will hear.

Grossman was actually the original author of the "butt fumble".

Maybe RGIII is retiring?

Do three 3rd tier QBs make a 1st stringer ?
