08:30 AM ET 04.04 | Complicated fellow Ilya Bryzgalov now has a more complicated future after Philadelphia's deadline trade Wednesday for Steve Mason. If Mason shines down the stretch the Flyers, in anticipation of the shrinking salary cap, will be tempted to use an amnesty buyout to rid themselves of the $34.7 million burden of Bryzgalov's contract over the next seven seasons. Amnesty rules would limit the buyout cost to $23 million, paid over twice the remaining term, or 14 seasons. Bryzgalov would become a free agent and his cap hit would disappear. The Flyers already are negotiating Mason's deal to a number lower than the $3 million qualifying offer required to retain his rights as a restricted free agent next season.

His 'duck the puck' move last night should seal the deal

Seriously. Nothing like a goalie flinching at an incoming puck ;)

Still, I'm not sure Mason is the answer. With their D, I'm not sure Bernie Parent in his prime is the answer.

Nice come back win nonetheless.

Absolutely. Not complaining and the win just makes that particular incident amusing and not maddening. Tho, I bet Shiprock got a good chuckle out of it :)

WTF was up with that? Did he think it was bear fecal matter coming at him? Nonetheless, at least he didn't duck six of them.

Philadelphia is the PERFECT place for a goalie as rattled as Mason to get his confidence back!

The calm nurturing environment will do wonders for him.

Henrik provided a nice juxtapose to the Bryz by taking one off the mask without flinching.

It is sort of a monastery environment, no? BTW, two last minute wonder-wins should help their confidence I would think. Nice job, even if one of em was against us! :(

Yoda flinch from incoming puck would not do.

What makes the Flyers think that Steve Mason is better than Ilya Bryzgalov? Sure, they can get rid of him only to watch him flourish else where, like Bobrovski is.

It wasn't a good night for goalies.

Canuck, find the video of MAF gettin' pissy and getting his stick stuck in the glass behind the net, if you can and able.

I think MAF was about to stick his stick up his Dmen's **** before the night was out!

Just a guess by the way he was behaving.
